Project Title
State of Charge Estimation of Lithium-Ion Batteries Using Machine Learning
Description
This project aims to bring two very distinct concepts together: State of Charge (SOC) and Predictive Modeling. It raises the question of using machine learning as a viable method for reasonably accurate SOC estimation. This project required hardware as well as software efforts. The hardware is used for the collection of data from the battery for creating data bank and for real time input to machine learning algorithm. The software end included the development of the machine learning algorithms that were used to make necessary predictions for battery system's SOC. The primary objective of our Final Year Project aka Kaavish is to address the following points: 1. Can State of Charge (SOC) of battery be accurately predicted using machine learning? 2. Which machine learning algorithm is best suited for this purpose?
